Many clinics and physicians perform Holter ECG examinations, but not every organisation has a cardiologist available to review the results internally.
This creates a practical opportunity for cardiologists and cardiology clinics.
With the Report Review option in Cardiomatics, a physician or clinic can upload a Holter ECG recording to the platform, receive an AI-supported ECG report, and then request specialist review from a selected cardiologist or reviewer, directly within Cardiomatics.
Instead of exchanging files, screenshots, or reports outside the workflow, the review process can stay in one secure platform.
How does it work?

A clinic or physician uploads a Holter ECG signal to Cardiomatics.
Cardiomatics analyses the recording and generates a report showing the findings identified in the signal.
The report can then be shared for review with a selected reviewer, for example a cardiologist or a cardiology clinic cooperating with that physician or organisation.
Depending on the agreed setup, the reviewer may receive access to selected reports or to all relevant reports within a given account. The reviewer does not need access to the original uploaded files, only to the information required to review the report within the platform.
This helps create a structured workflow between the physician or clinic performing the examination and the cardiologist providing specialist input.
A new service opportunity for cardiologists and cardiology clinics
For cardiologists, this functionality can support a practical business model.
If you already review Holter ECG reports, cooperate with smaller clinics, or provide specialist consultations to physicians, the Report Review option can help organise that work in a more scalable way.
It can also help you support patients who might not otherwise come directly to your clinic. A GP practice or smaller medical centre can perform the Holter ECG examination locally, using their own device or a device they decide to purchase, while your cardiology practice provides specialist review of the generated report.
This means you do not necessarily need to invest in additional Holter ECG devices or manage every step of the examination process yourself. Instead, you can focus on the specialist part of the workflow, reviewing reports and supporting cooperating physicians with your clinical expertise.
The Report Review option may allow you to offer Holter ECG report review as an additional service to:
- GP practices performing Holter ECG examinations,
- smaller clinics without an in-house cardiologist,
- diagnostic centres looking for specialist report review,
- partner clinics that need support with selected cases,
- organisations that want a more structured review workflow.
Each organisation can define its own commercial and clinical model. Cardiomatics provides the platform workflow that helps make this cooperation easier to manage.
Why it matters
The Report Review option can help cardiologists and clinics:
- build an additional service line around Holter ECG report review,
- cooperate more easily with external physicians or clinics,
- manage report review requests in one platform,
- reduce manual file exchange and fragmented communication,
- improve visibility of review status and workflow progress,
- support faster and more structured collaboration around Holter ECG reports.
For clinics and physicians requesting review, it creates a clearer way to involve a trusted cardiology specialist in the interpretation process.
For cardiologists and reviewer clinics, it creates a practical way to provide specialist expertise to a wider network of cooperating healthcare providers.
Available on the Plus plan
The Report Review option is available for accounts on the Plus plan, previously known as the Professional plan.
If you would like to activate this functionality, discuss the best setup for your organisation, or understand how it could support cooperation between your clinic and other physicians, please contact the Cardiomatics team.
